Visit Kebon Bang Jaim Festival this Weekend

For those of you who are confused about where to go this weekend, it would be nice to visit the Kebon Bang Jaim Festival which will take place from Friday (8/12) to Sunday (8/14).

The Kebon Bang Jaim Festival is an acronym for the four streets where the event was held, namely, Jalan Sabang, Jalan Jaksa, Jalan Kebon Sirih, and Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim.

It was officially opened by Central Jakarta City Secretary Iqbal Akbarrudin on Friday (8/12) afternoon.

According to him, the Kebon Bang Jaim festival was held again after two years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was aimed at celebrating Indonesia's 77th Independence Day with the theme Recover Faster, Rise Stronger.

"The cuisine around this area is amazing and close to several tourist sites including Monas, Tugu Tani, and so on, as well as the location is very strategic," he expressed.

According to him, it is a routine agenda of the Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency.

"Various tourism activities are prepared to initiate all existing potential in collaboration with all parties to realize a faster recovery, rise stronger for Jakarta to progress as a city, make its residents happy," he stated.

Parekraf Sub-agency Head Sinta Nindiawaty added as many as 40 booths were prepared for Jakpreneur, residents, and tourism business actors along Jalan Jaksa and Jalan Wahid Hasyim to enliven the festival.

"Jalan Jahim area is one of the leading tourist destinations in Central Jakarta, so we continue to hold various interesting activities to increase economic income," he expressed.

Therefore, he invited Jakarta residents to come to the festival.

"You can enjoy a lot here, starting from culinary, murals, and photo booths can take selfies and taste typical Betawi and Indonesian cuisines," he closed.
